Gaelic study.

Introduction to Gaelic on
CD-ROM Cànan
|
Addresses the first five programs in Speaking
Our Language. If you are anything more than a
complete beginner, this is probably not for you. But, it
appears to be a nice resource for the beginner who can't find a
class. Unfortunately, I don't see anything about format (is it
Mac compatible?) on the Cànan
website.

Scots Gaelic Talk
Now EuroTalk Interactive
|
EuroTalk Interactive has a web site at
http://www.eurotalk.co.uk/.
The review in Cothrom says: "Don't look here for any
grammar, but try this to add to your vocabulary in an easy and
enjoyable way." Games and quizzes teach words in the
catagories of First Words, Food, Colors, Phrases, Body,
Numbers, Time, Shopping and Countries. This company also plans
to add other Gaelic CD-ROMs to their catalog. (Note: I have had
word that they have added the "Vocabulary Builder"
package. Their website is not updated with that information,
however.)

101 Languages of the
World Transparent Software
|
This CD-ROM is from Transparent Software. Check
it out at their website, http://www.transparent.com/.
(Click on 'products', then search by language.) They include
Scottish Gaelic in the 101 languages on this disk. It sounds
excellent from the web page, but if anyone has tried it, I
would love a review. Also, if you are buying this product for
the Scottish Gaelic content, please let the company know. They
have a large selection of software, and it would be good if
they saw a demand and put more of it out in Gaelic!
