Membership Application

Membership in ACGA is open to anyone with an interest in studying, learning, or preserving the Scottish Gaelic language, music, and culture.

The support of those who are not studying Gaelic but who support our efforts and appreciate the language and culture are always welcome. Donations to ACGA, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, are tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers.

Members receive the quarterly newsletter An Naidheachd Againne (“Our News”), have access to other resources, and receive tips and information via email.

ACGA holds two major events each year, the Grandfather Mountain Gaelic Song and Language Week in Western North Carolina in July and the U.S. National Mòd in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, in September. Starting in 2017, we are adding a one-day Fèis — a program of music workshops — to the U.S. National Mòd.

Members may receive discounts at ACGA events.

Memberships start at $35 (US) per year ($15 for members age 25 or younger) and fund the activities of ACGA including the annual Grandfather Mountain Gaelic Song and Language Week, and the Mòd.
