Thursday / Diardaoin (Sept. 21)
3-6 pm: You may arrive and register at the Antiochian Village any time after 3 pm. Registration should be by the cafeteria.
6-7 pm: Dinner at the Antiochian Village.
7:30 pm: Fàilte / Welcome and Orientation with Mike MacKay
8-10 pm: Informal Cèilidh (Come ready to sing or play!)
Friday / Dihaoine (Sept. 22)
8-8:50 am: Breakfast at the Antiochian Village
8 am-5 pm: Registration for the Fèis and Mòd. During the Fèis, registration will be handled at the event itself. Seek out event staff.
8:50-9 am: Fàilte / Welcome and Orientation
9-9:50 am: Song Workshop with Margaret Stewart: Òrain co-cheangailte ri Eilthireachd agus na Fuadaichean / Songs of Emigration and the Clearances
9:50-10:00 am: Briseadh (Break)
10-10:50 am: Harp Workshop with James Ruff: The Clàrsach (Wire-strung Harp) in Gaelic Tradition.
Harps of all types welcome, though you won’t have to play the harp to enjoy this workshop.
10:50-11 am: Briseadh (Break)
11-11:50 am: Song Workshop with Murdo MacDonald: Òrain à Siadar a’ Chladaich / Songs from Siadar a’ Chladaich, Lewis
11:50 am-12 pm: Briseadh (Break)
12-1 pm: Lunch at the Antiochian Village
Afternoon Sessions (Concurrent)
1-3 pm: “Cèilidh 101”: Instrumental workshop for all musicians focusing on learning and playing sets of dance music together. Led by Murdo “Wasp” MacDonald.
1-3 pm: Open Song Workshop: Have a particular song you want to learn, or questions about Gaelic singing and performance style? Bring them. Led by Margaret Stewart
3-5 pm: Tiugainn air Sgrìob! Weather permitting, we will take a guided nature walk and learn Gaelic in the great outdoors with instructor Mike MacKay.
3-5 pm: We will have space available for those who want to practice together, sing together or simply chat.
5:30-6:30 pm: Dinner at the Antiochian Village
7 pm: Opening of the 3oth Annual U.S. National Mòd
