2001 Immersion Weekend

Fàilte gu Boulder!

The College Inn in beautiful Boulder Colorado will be the venue for our annual immersion, June 8-10. We will be adding more travel and other information here, so check back often.

Gaelic instruction will be offered at 4 levels:

  • New Beginner

  • Advanced Beginner

  • Intermediate

  • Advanced

And workshops will be held in Gaelic song and many other related topics.

There will also be extracurricular activities, including a workshop open to the public on Friday evening and a Saturday night ceilidh, where students are invited to share their singing, dancing, poetic and instrumental talents in a participatory acoustic environment.

The tuition is available at a discount for early registrants and for ACGA members. Tuition covers classes, materials, lodging for two nights, meals, and activities. A limited number of private rooms are available for an additional fee.

We will be posting travel and tourist information for Colorado and the Boulder area here. Travel information and other details will be sent upon receipt of registration and fees. For those traveling by airline, we recommend Denver International Airport (DIA) and local transportation services. More information about travel, the conference venue and what to do while you're here is now available

"I had never before taken a class nor heard the language used conversationally [but the Immersion Weekend classes] never felt overwhelming... (I knew it was a worthwhile weekend when I woke up Sunday morning hearing a bird singing in gaelic: ceithir, ceithir!!)"
~ Doyen Mitchell,
1999 Student
