ACGA is grateful for donations from members, but also from others interested in sustaining and developing Scottish Gaelic language and culture in North America. For U.S. taxpayers, these donations are tax-deductible, as ACGA is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation.
How We Use Donations
For the most part, donations and membership dues are used for member services.
We also often receive donations that are specifically intended to assist in the funding of one or another of our events: Immersion Weekend, Grandfather Mountain Gaelic Song & Language Week, or the ACGA Mòd. If you either tell us you wish your donation used for a particular event or make the donation along with registration for an event, we’ll make sure the money is applied to the event in question.
